Now, you have come here, for whatever reason. You might want to lose weight, get healthier or likely, both. I am not sure who coined the term ‘whole food plant based diet.’ But, whole food, in my mind is not processed like bread is. Whole foods are not ground up into a powder like a flour and have no additives, preservatives or food coloring. Whole food is pure like an Apple or Banana or Green Salad. You eat the whole thing, the whole food. It’s the food that can make you lose weight and make you well again.
I created Losing Weight Vegetarian Style because I wanted to share how I got healthier and lost weight at the same time simply by changing how I ate. I have studied health and diet related material for years, and it seems there’s always something new to learn. And, there’s so much information, over time, it’s easy to forget a few principles. But, I do know I got healthier and lost forty pounds eating fruits and vegetables.
It’s not the easiest task, but you can change your eating habits in time if you are patient with yourself. Processed foods like chips and whatnot are very addicting. In other words, you can’t just eat one. Personally, I end up eating the whole bag or box. Your best bet is to not have it around the house to begin with. So, if it came in a bag, box, package or can, clear it out of your refrigerator and cupboards. And, next time you go shopping, make sure you eat before you go so you won’t be tempted to buy the wrong foods.

For example, with refrigerators, there’s frozen food. There are also many convenience foods and canned goods saturated with salt, sugar and fat.
