Healthy Diet Plans

There’s so many diet plans, which one do you choose? We want healthy diet plans. For example, there’s the military diet, Atkins, paleo, diabetic, 3 day diet, detox diet, low carb diet, grapefruit diet, juicing diet, Mediterranean diet, and so many others it will make your head spin.

What made sense to me was to eat the way we have for millions of years. And, I don’t believe it’s Paleo. Maybe, we ate a tiny bit of meat every now and then. I don’t know for sure, I wasn’t there.

Yet, Biology doesn’t change overnight. We all know it takes eons of time for that. This includes food we were born to eat. We are very close genetically to the great apes. And, not surprisingly, when you feed them processed food, they begin to get sick. Guess what food they thrive on? Yes, fruits and vegetables, mostly raw.

Remember to eat your Vegetables!

Moms have always been known to get us to eat our vegetables. This goes for fruit, too. It makes sense we can’t go wrong eating fruits and vegetables. Everyone knows they are healthy, but may not like to eat them. So, what do you do?

You have to pick something you like eating or you won’t. For example, I love potatoes made every way you can make them. I make French fries, but I bake them for about an hour. They have no added oil. Whatever I eat, I make it myself. That’s the only way I know of to know for certain what’s in your food. A baked potato only takes about five minutes to cook in the microwave. I make my own Chili Beans in a crockpot.

Potatoes are it: how I eat

Throw all the other diet plans out the window. When I make a potato, I also cook Broccoli with onions, red bell peppers and mushrooms in liquid vegetable bouillon. Same as Brown Rice, Potatoes aren’t at the top of the list for nutrition, but they will fill you up and make you feel content. The vegetables are my topping for the potato.

So, what I do is make a base of chili beans, put my cooked potato on top of it, slice it open and pour the vegetables on top. It really tastes good while it fills me up.

Salads are easy. I eat two large green ones each day. You can sprinkle a few Cashews on it or any other seed or nut. Just don’t eat more than a small handful. And, you don’t need to include them on your salad every day.

You can also make your own salad dressing from Apple Cider Vinegar like I do. Add some honey with a sprinkle of spice. All you have to do is find all the fruits and vegetables you love to eat, best. If you aren’t a fan, you will eventually find something you like. You just have to try them out. You won’t be sorry.

In the morning I eat a large bowl of fruit which contains Pineapples, Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Cantaloupe and Banana. It just depends upon the price of them at the store. Almost any will do just fine. But, watch the Avocados. Too fatty.

I definitely don’t do juice or smoothies anymore because there is too much sugar when its fibers are broken down by any mechanical means. Juice and smoothies unbalances your system. You need the fiber, too. That’s why you have teeth to chew with. I eat fruit throughout the day when I get hungry. That’s it. Simple diet, better health, weight loss and long life. Eating plant based whole food is one of the most healthy diet plans.
