Healthy places to eat near me

You know, it’s no easy feat trying to find healthy places to eat near me or you. You have to read every single ingredient on the menu. But, even on the menu, the amount of salt, sugar and oil is not listed on every single item. It’s a ‘guesstimate’ at best. Best advice is to play it safe and go for a place that has a large salad bar, instead. Call restaurants up and ask.

You know, weight loss isn’t enough. There are plenty of skinny unhealthy people with cancer and other diseases. So, learn to become trim and healthy. You can with plant based whole food.

For example, they add sunflower oil to some rice milks. Why? Probably flavor and texture. But, you don’t need it. Again, added oil is not healthy. It is unnatural, unless it is already in the whole food itself.

Nature adds the precise carbs, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals we require. Nature is smarter than you think. Man, cannot outsmart mother nature, even though he persistently tries.

As far as eating out at restaurants goes, you need to find places that have salad bars. There, you can add the ingredients to your salad that are healthy. You can also add the right salad dressings. Usually, most salad bars have ample ingredients to satisfy and fill you up.

Furthermore, when you go shopping at the store, there is a work around to it. Don’t buy anything in a package, box, bottle or bag, etc. I know, it’s almost impossible to do and maybe not practical. But, at least, try to limit it.

What helps immensely, is eating a full meal before going to the grocery store. We are all subject to temptation. We buy what we know we shouldn’t when we go to the store hungry or thirsty. It’s human nature.

Low blood sugar tends to take control our mind and make us eat that which we logically know we shouldn’t. I am not perfect, I fall off the wagon, too. You have to just dust yourself off, and jump back on and know what your real food is. Fruits, vegetables, rice, potatoes and beans. That’s it.
