Alkaline food chart: Lose weight, gain health!

You might want to choose your food carefully from the alkaline food chart I have provided  to make sure you are eating the most alkaline foods.

If you don’t feel well you might want to cut out meat, dairy, eggs, oils, sweeteners, eating too many nuts and seeds, using sauces, vinegar and alcoholic drinks which tend to be more acidic. Approximate pH of Foods and Food Products

The human body pH needs to be about 7.4 (the healthy range is from 7.35 to 7.45.)

The avocado and tomatoes (fruits) are considered alkaline rather than the increased acid raspberries and oranges. Although, lemons are acid, I understand they act alkaline inside the body. So, if you want a salad dressing, use a squeezed lemon.

I was wondering why I constantly had all these aches and pains. I supposed it was because I was overdosing on blueberries, other berries, pineapple and tomatillo hot sauce. I always loved the tart or sour (like green olives and sauerkraut.)

In eating any fruit, I was consuming quite a bit of sugar. Even though it was natural, it still was sugar. I don’t think we need a super abundance of fruit to be the healthiest. I figured the more sugar a fruit has, the more acidic it becomes.

There is that ‘speck’ of doubt lingering I have about high sugar fruits. Also, I have my doubts about how much starchy foods like rice, potatoes and beans we require to have enough energy during the day.

Therefore, I am limiting the amounts of berries I eat and keeping my bean, potato and rice consumption about the same. This means about a cup of brown rice a day, a cup of pinto beans, a potato for breakfast and one for dinner. I seem to be doing OK with this.

I am sticking by two salads a day without adding apple cider vinegar to the dressing (because of the acidity) and steaming vegetables like yellow squash, broccoli, kale, spinach for dinner. There is proof an alkaline diet does improve health [1 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov].
