Why healthy food can make aches and pains go away

Some people don’t feel good and can’t figure out why. They may have been to the doctor, and still don’t have the answer. You might be suffering from mysterious aches and pains and not even know why.

It could very well be you are suffering from inflammation because of the food you are eating. Yes, food can start an immune response in your body causing something called ‘leaky gut syndrome’.

Avoiding autoimmune diseases like gout and rheumatoid arthritis may be as simple as eating plant based whole foods, while avoiding processed and refined foods, animal products, oil, salt and sugar just to name a few.

The question is, is it worth the effort to regain your health and lose weight the healthiest way? There are no tricks or gimmicks. There is no short cut to better health, longer life and permanent weight loss. It is more like steady as you go with consistency and moderation.

‘In chronic inflammation, the inflammatory process may begin even if there is no injury, and it does not end when it should. Why the inflammation continues is not always known. Chronic inflammation may be caused by infections that don’t go away, abnormal immune reactions to normal tissues, or conditions such as obesity. Over time, chronic inflammation can cause DNA damage and lead to cancer. For example, people with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn disease, have an increased risk of colon cancer |1 cancer.gov|’.

So, you lost weight, but you don’t feel better. How could this be? You have all these aches and pains, now what do you do? The question to ask yourself is, what are you eating that’s causing the problem? Many of us suffer from inflammation.

It can come from what things you eat like fructose, refined oil, and too much salt. Are you still eating some of the snacks you used to eat because they are considered vegan and vegetarian? Are you still stocking your cupboards with snack and junk foods like chocolate candy, sugary cereals, chips and crackers? If you don’t want to buy them, a trick I learned is to make sure I eat before I shop.

Are you cooking your food with oil or pouring it all over your salads and salting your food too much? Do you buy pre-made salad dressings loaded with fat? If you are feeling achy all the time, you need to stop where you are and take a good look at and assess which foods you are eating that may be causing you all the discomfort. Go to foods that may cause inflammation.
