The Benefits of a Daily Health Journal for Weight Loss and Health Improvement

I have kept written records about my past weight loss and current health progress. I made one on Word in 2015 and currently have a big note pad I jot everything down on related to my health and how I feel every day. Doing so daily has guided me as to what to eat and not to lose weight and feel better.

It’s beneficial to record if you are regular writing things down like frequency and time of day so you remember and don’t have to worry about how long it’s been.

Additionally, it’s a good and useful learning tool when you take down notes. That’s because it’s so easy to forget the last time you went, especially when eating poorly. Things you eat will definitely slow or speed up your intestinal tract. And, you can look back and determine which foods made you feel lousy the next day and know you should cease eating them.

Fiber filled plant-based whole foods will sweep you clean. If you eat out a lot, you probably aren’t getting enough fiber. Remember, fiber is an essential nutrient.

When I was first losing weight, I got stuck at around 185 lbs.. If not for my journal, I might not have made such successful progress. Each day, I wrote down what I ate, and when looking back, I noticed one thing in common. I was eating too many chips and tortillas. So, as soon as I reduced these, I began to steadily lose weight once more at about five pounds per month.

Steady and slow weight loss is usually permanent weight loss. And, when you eat primarily plant-based whole food, you don’t necessarily have to worry about the weight coming back. Mine is automatically maintained. I am sure you’d like weighing your high school weight once again?

In conclusion, having a journal to look back on is satisfying. You can readily see where you were making progress and where you weren’t and make corrections accordingly. Keep good notes and you won’t regret it. It’s worth the time taken. You will readily see your progress any given time at your fingertips.
