Why Health and Weight Loss Depends Upon Eating Only Real ‘Alkaline Whole Food’

I have talked in previous posts about the importance of an alkaline versus acid diet. A plant-based whole food diet is basically an alkaline diet. If you don’t eat meat, use oils and drink alcohol this should help prevent an overly acid condition in the body called, acidosis.

If you are an older person like me, an alkaline diet low in protein and sodium will likely help preserve your muscle mass and reduce bone loss, even possibly preventing or reducing lower back pain.

If your store has it, it’s healthier to buy your produce organic if possible. But, if your store doesn’t, ask them to do so. But, it’s better to eat non-organic rather than none at all. Be sure to soak, wash and scrub all your fruits and vegetables before eating them Safe list of ‘Non-organic’ fruits and vegetables.

We aren’t fourteen years old anymore. This means your metabolism has slowed down and you don’t burn up calories as fast as you used to. Therefore, common sense will tell us we can’t eat all the snack and junk foods like the good old days. We can do a lot to keep our health and weight in check. For example, we all know we should eat less sugar, fat, meat, salt and more fiber rich food.

To conclude, I changed my diet to plant-based whole food years ago to attain better health, automatically maintain weight loss and increase my lifespan. Now, I don’t have to worry about how much I eat (with few restrictions like limiting the amount of seeds, nuts and avocados.)

Remember, fruits and vegetables supply all the nutrients in the perfect amounts one needs. And, a bonus is you can eat all you want, your clothes fit and don’t have to constantly look at the scale.
