I’ll tell you that once I brewed my own loose leaf tea, I wasn’t going back to tea bags. It’s so different in taste, you won’t go back either. I remember when I used to drink coffee I bought my own coffee beans, ground them up myself and began making it by the cup. I found this to be superior.

You live and learn and improve your quality of life through the years until you invent your own lifestyle. Then, when you get old, you won’t change things much. Most older folks I believe are set in their ways and do not welcome change. Why? They’ve fine tuned the way they want to live their lives.

As I’ve said before many times within this site, I stopped drinking coffee because of its side effects. I don’t like having heart palpitations, anxiety attacks and a feeling of impending doom. This doesn’t mean I don’t still like coffee. But, I never could drink it without sugar and cream.

Green tea, I drink without sweeteners. I love its unique earthy taste. In the morning I bring my water on the stove almost to a boil and pour it over my pre-measured tea I’ve put in the pot the night before. I let it stand for a minute, then pour it out into a strainer.

The used tea leaves, I soak again in water for about a half an hour for our green smoothie we drink later each day. I also strain that before adding it to the blender with the other ingredients. You might want to try my special smoothie for yourself and see how it makes you feel.
