Yes, there are skinny people who are not healthy, but what food do they eat? If they are vegetarians, you might see a bag of chips and soda in their hands.
They might go through the day eating way too few calories feeding their starving bodies with handfuls of cookies or picking at their food at the table.
This isn’t anyone’s way to good health and healthy weight loss. If one doesn’t eat enough calories, he will be hungry craving unhealthy calorie rich junk and snack foods.
The way to health and weight loss isn’t taking medication or pills, either. Furthermore, vitamin pills aren’t the way. It’s living a healthy lifestyle that does it. What one eats and how much of it can determine if he will have good health and be trim or not.
Even if you are a vegan and eat a lot of nuts, seeds, avocados and cook your food with oil, you will gain weight, not lose it. Too much of any kind of fat, is not good for our cardiovascular system.
And, in addition, we all will wear the fat we eat. I personally have found that refined carbs like too many chips, crackers, bread and tortillas will also pack on the pounds. That’s why when I was trying to lose weight I got stuck at 185 lbs., until I learned to eat more potatoes, rice and beans.
‘Why Is a Healthy Weight Important?
Reaching and maintaining a healthy weight is important for overall health and can help you prevent and control many diseases and conditions [1 nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/index.htm]’.
Being physically active is also important to maintaining a healthy weight. For me, I exercise with weights each day. I also do all the work around the house. This keeps me fit enough. I never work out too hard. That wouldn’t be fun at all. I personally don’t believe an intensive work out is essential, so I don’t do it that way.
There’s a million and one diets out there, of which some can hurt you. Mine is naturally low in fat and the carbs aren’t refined. I eat whole foods. I eat whole rice and whole potatoes and whole beans and everything else plant based whole food.
‘This has been proven over and over to be the healthiest way to eat. Those around the world who eat this way are trim, fit and live the longest’ ~ your author
Potatoes, rice and beans provide most my calories. Yet, greens like salads and broccoli provide vitamins and minerals that fruits and berries do not. I also drink a daily green smoothie. You might want to try my recipe, here.
