Top ’10’ Essential Weight Loss And Healthy Diet Tips…

Here’s a few tips on eating I ‘try’ to eat by. It’s not all I abide by, but I do eat largely plant based whole food. This means, I don’t eat processed or refined foods (unless I am experimenting.) I just did an experiment which ended leaving me with mixed conclusions (and, feelings) in using olive oil.

Here’s a few rules…

  • Don’t drink milk unless you happen to be a baby cow
  • Try to drink no more than an ounce of alcohol a day unless you are a booze tester
  • Instead of coffee, drink Japanese green tea because it has much less caffeine
  • Don’t eat meat unless you have long sharp teeth and claws and can run fast to take down a deer
  • This goes for any other animal product like eggs, fish, chicken, pork, etc.
  • Keep away from higher glycemic foods like chips, crackers and cookies, etc., even though vegetarians and vegans may think it OK to eat them
  • Being a vegetarian or vegan isn’t enough; for soda pop, chips, cooking oil and most junk and snack food qualify
  • Don’t use cooking oils like olive, corn, safflower, sunflower, canola and any other. Not good for the weight, heart and cardiovascular system
  • Eat simple foods like beans, rice, potatoes (I fry onions and mushrooms,) green salads, a few nuts, seeds and avocados, raw and steamed broccoli and lastly, fruit like berries
  • Also, why not have a green snoothie like I do everyday?
  • So far, I’m doing OK

These are basic rules I try to live by everyday. But, you can get ‘tricked’ at the store, especially if you go there hungry. Eat, first. Stores spend millions in studying why people buy what they do. I don’t know about you, but I really question how I am ‘feeling’ when shopping.

It’s amazing sometimes why I buy what I do, then end up putting it back on the shelf, because I know better. But, if I go there hungry, my stomach tends to over-ride my mind and better sensibilities. Shop with a stomach full of healthy food.

Note- before you change your diet consult your doctor.
