We may not always be able to change our circumstances and situations. But, we can try. One thing no one can take away from us is our ‘imagination’. Believe it or not, we live day in and day out entirely within our own imagination.
But, if you have had enough of being you, and have finally decided you don’t want to be you anymore, one question remains. If not you, then who do you want to be? I think we all would like more money and be healthier. Probably most of us would like to lose a few pounds. But, who are all of us, really?
Currently, I believe we are whoever we think we are. Of course, people will judge you by the way you look, job you have, the house you live in and the car you drive. People are just that way and aren’t going to ever change. That’s how the world is. Outward appearances rule.
‘Right or wrong, simply be you. For when you are genuinely being you, you will attract true friends. Yet, at the same time, you will also have to weed out those who will undoubtedly use you whenever they can. Don’t allow it. Don’t let them in your life. Simply kick them out…’ ~ your author
If you want to verify how you are being ‘shaped’, just turn on the TV. Watch the advertisements for a while and let their subtle message sink in. They want you to buy their stuff. They use any and all human emotions they can to get you to buy. We are studied and thereby manipulated into purchasing their things. At the grocery store, they choose colors to get you to buy.
To me, this is kind of underhanded. But, we live in a world that is underhanded. We live in a world that is not fair. We operate within the bounds of an egocentric system. In other words, there are givers and the takers and the takers will keep taking from the givers as long as the givers keep allowing it to happen.
I don’t know about you, but I have had enough of giving to the takers. And as strange as it seems that once I made that decision, all those users stopped crossing my path. I woke up and to this day, I remain ‘conscious’ of everything that’s going on around me. No more ‘dozing off’ on my watch, not even for a split second. Something about being ‘aware’ that repels those with evil intent.
