How To Ready Oneself For A Healthy Lifestyle Change And Stick To It…

What is the definition of a healthy lifestyle? Firstly, what does lifestyle mean? To me, it’s how a person chooses to live. I guess one can live an unhealthy, unhappy or happy and healthy lifestyle. But, what makes for a healthy and happy lifestyle?

‘Pat yourself on the back. When negative thoughts creep in, remind yourself how much good you are doing for your health by moving more and eating healthier [1]’.

This is a pretty subjective question in that it depends upon what the individual believes is happy and healthy for themselves. Yet, no one wants to be told how he should live.

‘The only way one can make a lasting decision is to decide. You can always change your mind later or navigate to another direction. Nothing is cast in stone unless you want it to be. It’s all up to you the direction your life will go. You alone hold the steering wheel. Yes, we have that much power over our lives’

If one cannot decide what kind of life he wants to live and person he wishes to be there are plenty who will gladly make that decision for you. You’ve see it often on TV and various books for sale.

‘Who defines what a healthy happy lifestyle actually is? It’s you and I who alone, must be honest with and true to ourselves’

If you live with naysayers, it will be more difficult. You just have to take matters into your own hands and not make a spectacle about it so you keep the spotlight off what you are doing.

If anything, you may set a good example others in your household may want to follow. Be your own leader. You might get some push back, so why not learn how to meditate and re-center yourself because of any backlashes for 10 seconds, here.
