Here’s a simple ‘No-Oil’ Basic Vinaigrette Salad Dressing Recipe I made the other day. I know I have recipes that have oil in them, but how I eat has turned out to become an evolving process. In other words, to ‘fine tune’ your health you will find you are better off not eating certain things like refined oils.
Furthermore, you could even have a sensitivity to using just a little which may in itself trigger an inflammation episode of generalized aches and pains in muscles and joints throughout your body.
‘I would also add a little EVOO and sesame oil to my salad dressings to give it that unique flavor. It would make me eat even more salad. But, I found oil brought no health benefits only aches and pains’
I also looked at the avocados and nuts I was eating only to find many nuts and seeds I liked had too much Omega 6 which causes inflammation. Avocados have quite a bit of fat, and don’t feel I need them that often (but not every few days or 4 per week) in my diet.
‘No-Oil’ Basic Vinaigrette Salad Dressing Recipe
- I use a small plastic container with lid
- Add apple cider (much cheaper) or balsamic vinegar
- Same amount of water
- You could also add a squeeze of lemon
- Onion powder
- Garlic salt or powder
- Pepper
- Shake
- Eat a baked potato with your green salad
- All this is to taste, not measuring
I hope this salad dressing makes you eat even more green salad. You need to make your plant based whole food tasty. If you don’t, you will crave the old processed and refined foods.
Salting your food with the shaker adds much less sodium than eating something like a TV dinner. You always know how much of what is in your food when you eat intact fruits and vegetables. There’s nothing but real food in it and that’s what our bodies want.
Note- before you change your diet consult your doctor.
