I am not a mental health professional, so I have to be careful what I say. But, I do have experience in life and am entitled to my own opinion. I’ve lived many years and I think I know a few things. Some things I have learned the ‘hard way’. How does one learn best? Is it the easy way or the hard way?
‘For a person with an anxiety disorder, the anxiety does not go away and can get worse over time ’.
All I know is that at this point in my life I don’t have to be taught the same lesson twice! So, we learn our lessons and go on. Sometimes, you don’t get to apply ‘life lessons’ you’ve learned to similar circumstances or situations simply because they never again appear.
This is what I do that tends to ‘fix’ me…
- If you have trouble sleeping you may be drinking too much alcohol, caffeine and sugar (a physical symptom for me was my legs felt a restlessness by ‘twitching’ and ‘kicking’)
- I especially cut out sugar like refined and high fructose corn syrup (HFCS)
- This is only my opinion, but it seems to me somehow that anxiety, stress and depression are all linked together
- We all won’t live forever, so should we not ‘sweat the small stuff’?
- Unquestionably, life is hard
- So, maybe it’s something we better ‘get used to’?
- I meditate to ‘reboot’ me
- It does help make for a calmer mind and way of looking at the world, and only takes a few seconds…
We always learn new lessons. Call them ‘life lessons’ if you will. Every person if different. We all know that. What applies to one may certainly not apply to another. I don’t believe there is a general ‘fix’ for everyone.
But, what I’ve found for me is that thinking more positive thoughts has attracted and delivered many ‘good things’ into my life. Why not try it out for yourself? Thinking positive costs nothing.

I haven’t exactly had a personal history of thinking positive enough. That’s why I write about this very subject now. I’ve learned a few things about the mind and I have a few ideas that so far seem to work for me. In the past, I had written a book about mental attraction, but what I am writing now is somewhat different based upon my own experience. Besides weight loss, health and longevity, I have written a few essays about positive thinking, meditation and well being. Somehow, these are all related. But, I decided ‘why limit myself’? It’s all subjective and this author’s opinion. Writing is good for what ‘ails’ me. And, I hope something herein helps you at least in some small way… Continue reading “Positive Affirmations: Will They Make You Rich?”

If you’ve gone to your doctor and you still feel lousy, it might be because of something you never even suspected. I have learned this to be true through my own life experience. I am therefore certain how one thinks and believes does affect our emotions as well as physical body for better or worse. We can actually make ourselves feel sick or depressed when we worry and become excessively anxious. Your internal dialogue can make you happy or depressed. It’s so easy to overlook how we talk to ourselves. So many things we’ve told ourselves in the past we have long forgotten. That’s why it’s a good idea to begin monitoring consciously how we speak to ourselves. Continue reading “Why Positive Self Talk Improves Weight Loss (And, Brings Good Things)”
At bare minimum, by default, we all know at least a few things that are healthy to eat. But, it’s if we have decided to eat them or not that may save our health. Old eating habits are hard to break and are ingrained deep, just like old negative thinking patterns. Continue reading “Changing Your Life Is As Easy As Changing How You Think: What Worked For Me…”
Although, I have learned essential things about losing weight and getting healthier eating plant-based whole food, I also learned something extremely valuable we need in order for our lives to work out for the better.
